The Century Jazz Ensemble kicks off the 2013-14 season with its annual
Colors of Fall concert at Century College. Variety and top shelf arrangements are always a
hallmark of the CJE. Our opening concert features arrangements by top international
composers and arrangers. We will even include several selections from our recordings!

Swingin’ The Season Holiday Show

This concert is a great way to celebrate the Season with some familiar holiday
melodies set for a swingin’ big band. Join us this year as we light the stage in a festive
mood and include our vocalist Debbie O’Keefe on songs that might even get you singing.
This performance is free and there is a reception following the performance.

This year the Century Jazz Festival celebrates it’s 25th year!
To commemorate the event we are excited to welcome legendary drummer
Butch Miles. Butch’s accomplishments continue to attract worldwide attention.
He has played with such jazz luminaries as Count Basie, Frank Sinatra,
Sammy Davis Jr., Dave Brubeck, Mel Torme, Ella Fitzgerald, Woody Herman,
Benny Goodman, Rosemary Clooney and others.
Joining us again at the pre-concert reception will be the popular Joel Shapira &
Charmin Michelle Quintet. Tickets go on sale in January.

Our annual Swing Into Spring closes out the CJE season will a variety of big band
favorites. This season ending performance gives the band a chance to strut their stuff
